Yes, for qualifying loads. For eligible quantities of commercial and industrial scrap we bring our truck and crane to your site, load the metal for you and take it away at no charge. Minimum quantities apply depending on metal type, quantity and location. Smaller loads are welcome at the Greenacre yard, where your metal is weighed on our scales and paid the same way.

It depends on the metal. A part-pallet of copper or brass is worth a run on its own, while light steel usually needs closer to a full bin. Call with a rough idea of what you have and we will tell you straight away whether a pick-up stacks up.

Most metropolitan jobs are booked within one to two working days, and same-day runs are often possible if you call early. Factory scrap collections and construction-site pick-ups are scheduled around your access window.

We supply bins and cages for ongoing commercial work, then swap them out on a schedule that suits your production. Free bin service may be available for qualifying commercial volumes. Factories, workshops and electrical contractors generally run a standing swap.

We collect across Sydney and wider NSW for suitable loads. Our trucks regularly run to Wollongong, Newcastle, Bathurst and the regions in between. Service availability depends on load size, material type and location. Call with your location and load and we will confirm a run.

You do not have to, but you will usually be paid more if you do. Keeping copper, brass and aluminium separate from steel means each is graded on its own merit instead of being priced down as a mixed load.

Ferrous and non-ferrous: copper, brass, aluminium, lead, stainless steel, insulated cable and wire, radiators, electric motors, heavy and light gauge steel, and end-of-life machinery.

Scrap prices move with the global metal market, so they are quoted on the day rather than published as a fixed list. Call or email with the metal type, grade and approximate weight and you will get a current rate.

Cleanliness. Bright bare copper wire sits well above insulated cable, and clean brass beats brass still attached to steel fittings. Removing plastics, rubber and other attachments before collection lifts the grade.

Gas bottles and sealed pressure vessels, anything containing asbestos, chemical or fuel drums that have not been drained and cleaned, and general household waste. If you are unsure about an item, send a photo before the truck is booked.

Yes. Eligible scrap vehicles, forklifts, industrial plant and other heavy items can be collected with the right truck, subject to condition, location and access. For vehicles, current photo identification and vehicle details such as the registration or VIN are required before we can pay for the metal.

We use our own scales for day-to-day weighing: when we collect, the load can be weighed on site at your premises before it leaves, and drop-offs are weighed on our scales at the Greenacre yard. For larger or bulk loads, weighbridge arrangements can be made at an external or customer weighbridge where required. Either way the weight and grade are shown to you as it happens, and you receive a docket listing each metal type, its weight and the rate applied.

By EFT to your nominated account, the same day or next business day after the load is weighed. Under the Scrap Metal Industry Act 2016 (NSW), scrap metal dealers cannot pay for scrap in cash, so an account name, BSB and account number are needed before the transfer can go through.

Please bring current acceptable photo identification. Additional information may be required depending on the type of scrap being sold. For motor vehicle scrap, applicable vehicle identification requirements must also be met.

Yes. Eligible GST-registered commercial suppliers may be set up for recipient-created tax invoices (RCTIs), subject to the applicable ATO requirements and an RCTI arrangement, along with monthly statements that keep the paperwork tidy for your bookkeeping.

It is sorted and graded at the yard, then recyclable material is sent to licensed downstream processors and smelters for recycling back into new product.

We can supply weight dockets and a summary of tonnages collected and sent for recycling over any period you need, which is generally enough to satisfy site waste management and sustainability reporting.
